The rules and guidelines for using RolePilot

Summary: Use RolePilot to help your job search. Be honest. Don't abuse the service. That's it.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using RolePilot ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not use our service.

2. Description of Service

RolePilot provides:

  • Browser extension for saving job postings
  • AI-powered cover letter generation
  • Job application tracking dashboard
  • Resume optimization suggestions

3. User Responsibilities

When using RolePilot, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information in your profile and resume
  • Use generated content honestly — our "Truth Mode" only reformulates your real experience
  • Review and edit AI-generated content before submitting applications
  • Not misrepresent your qualifications or experience
  • Not use the service for spam, fraud, or any illegal purpose

4. Account Terms

  • You must be at least 16 years old to use RolePilot
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
  • One person or entity may maintain only one account
  • You must provide a valid email address

5. Payment Terms

For paid plans:

  • Sprint Pass ($9): 7-day access to all features
  • Monthly Plan ($19/month): Recurring subscription, cancel anytime
  • Payments are processed securely via Stripe
  • Refunds are available within 7 days if you're not satisfied

6. AI-Generated Content

Regarding content generated by our AI:

  • You own all content generated using your input data
  • AI suggestions are meant to assist, not replace your judgment
  • We do not guarantee specific outcomes (interviews, job offers)
  • You are solely responsible for the final content you submit

7. Intellectual Property

  • RolePilot branding, design, and code are our property
  • Your resume, profile data, and generated content belong to you
  • We don't claim ownership of job listings you save

8. Limitation of Liability

RolePilot is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for:

  • Job application outcomes
  • Decisions made by employers
  • Third-party job site changes or issues
  • Data loss (though we take reasonable precautions)

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time from Settings.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance. Significant changes will be communicated via email.
